I work for the Volunteer Center of North Texas, hq in Dallas, Texas.  We are currently working with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army (among others) - and if people want to check our resources, please log on to:  www.volunteernorthtexas.org and click the hurricane banner on the home page or Disaster Relief *under the Volunteer Jobs section.  There are many opportunities for people to help - no matter where they live.  Please post this information if you see fit.  We have posted reputable agencies and how they are serving the victims.  We are currently compiling a database of volunteers (over 4000 names entered since late Thursday afternoon) and have deployed over 1500 volunteers in that time.
