A Time for Marching Bands?

Surreal moment this afternoon: Some CNN reporter was interviewing a man
in a devastated Mississippi neighborhood. As they talked, a marching
band in full regalia trotted on by, playing John Philip Sousa or
something. I know life must go on, but that's just crazy...
