Mary Landrieu on Larry King

Senator Mary Landrieu was just interviewed on Larry King.

"The military is coming," she said. "Get here fast."

Landrieu's brother, the state's Lieutenant Governor, has been conducting
search and rescue operations himself, pulling the living and the dead
out of destroyed houses.

She reiterated that communications infrastructure is a mess; the mayor's office is forced to hand-deliver important notifications because they don't have communications access.

She also implored the major national hotel chains to partner with the federal government to house people. Hotels are idea evacuation centers, she said.
